How to Decorate a 2 Tiered Tray for Spring

The tiered trays seem to be all the rage on Pinterest these days! I simply adore them! What a unique way to display your trinkets! Make them for a holiday, season or just your own personal taste. The possibility are endless!so with all that said, let me show you mine and how to decorate a 2 tiered tray for spring.

My love of tiered tray began back in the fall of last year. They were popping up everywhere in farmhouse decorations and were adorable! But the trays themselves were pretty pricey, so therefore I made one. Learn how I did here in my post Dollar Tree 2 Tier Stand with Cricut. I’ve done it for fall, Christmas and now for spring.
There are several things that I’ve made on the tray and then the other things have come from dollar stores. I wanted this display to be farmhouse inspired more than bright, Easter egg colors.

Mod Podge Bunny

This bunny was from Walmart and was $5. I looked everywhere for ceramic bunnies and only found 3! Learn how to transform him here at my post 3 spring things? Or watch my YouTube video 3 Dollar Tree Spring Projects
So what’s a bunny without carrots?! This is not my original idea, but they were so cute, I had to copy them only a smaller version for my 2 tiered tray.
For them, I took Cheap foil and shaped it into a small carrot form. Check out my YouTube video here. Next place a bit of hot glue directly on the end and put the twine over the tip. Then begin wrapping the twine around the carrot covers by the end as you go.
Poke a small hole in the top of the carrot for the piece of greenery. Fill it with hot glue and place the stem down in it the finish wrapping the twine in place.

 Paint Those Dollar Tree Eggs

Certainly it needs some neutral colored eggs now! So take some Dollar Tree Easter eggs and paint them. These colorful eggs are the perfect size for my 2 tiered tray for spring. Simply pull the ribbon hanger out and put them on a toothpicks to paint.
I decorated my eggs with dots and attempted zigzags. Once the are dry, remove the toothpick and fill the small hole with a touch of hot glue. Paint over the glue to finish the egg.

Bunny Butt

These little guys are everywhere, so I couldn’t help myself. Certainly, I had to have one! He’s super easy to make. This small bowl is from a set of 4 that I got at the Dollar Tree.

I started by painting it with white acrylic paint. Then I free hand cut two white feet and pink pads. Once they were glued together, I simply glued them to the white bowl. Make sure they are placed with the toes down. Take a piece of quilt batting or a cotton ball and glue it on the bowl where his tail needs to be and he’s finished.

Finishing Touches on the 2 Tiered Tray for Spring

Now I can finish it out with some greenery and flowers that I have on hand. I just love it! It looks great on my table runner and is a super cute addition to my spring decorating.
So there you have it! I hope you enjoyed me showing you how to decorate a 2 tiered tray for spring. Do you have a tiered tray? How do you decorate yours? I would love to see them and your thoughts in the comments below.
