Sparkle in The Limbs

Beautiful day to hang my prized possessions. I’ll show you how to add sparkle to a tree with sun catchers. My husband says it’s too much but then conceded they are pretty cool. A few years back, I started crafting these glittery darlings. Bought tons of glass and acrylic beads and began making them to sell. Well, long story short, I tried at one craft fair to sell them and didn’t have any luck, so I kept them! It was going to be hard to part with them anyway if someone would have bought one!

Colorful Flat Marbles

Beautiful sun catchers have been my thing this year! Happily, I’m going to show you how to make a flat marble framed sun catcher. I’ve used all kinds of glinty objects in several different ways to make sun catchers. Sunny days around here sparkle! My latest creations are made with flat marbles glued in a frame and are very versatile . I use them in the house and in the yard to add color and sparkle in places. I also love the way the glass bead sun catchers shimmer in the sun!

The size difference of the marbles sometimes puts you in a place you have to use it!

A Dream Come True!

How fortunate am I to get to build my dream addition?! I love the primitive decoration in the bathroom.

Our little home was cozy and compact. Our bedroom was upstairs, small and cramped. Knowing that we aren’t getting any younger, the stairs became a concern. Trips to the bathroom were becoming more frequent. That bathroom wasn’t much bigger than a closet! We decided it was time to move downstairs. We are getting another bathroom and a bigger bedroom in the first floor!

Welcome to our mountain home! I’m happy to take you on a Spring tour of the grounds. Always exciting to see the first crocuses and daffodils poke their little heads up out of the ground. Can’t wait to behold the sea of colors. On a good day, the sun warms your skin and visions of flowers dance in my head! What can I add to the collection this year? I imagine so many possibilities! My mind is filled with ideas. It’s so satisfying to create something beautiful to display!

My FMQ Quilt Ruler Holder

As I begin to teach myself to fmq, I wondered what I could make as I practiced? So I came up with the idea for a fmq (free motion quilting) quilt ruler holder. I could practice quilting on all the pieces and still end up with something usable! No wasted fabric and a useful addition to my craft room.
