Canvas Tarp Farmhouse Pillow

Farmhouse decor is my favorite! Rustic, primitive all that. I have made many decorations for my house and today I would like to show you how to make a farmhouse pillow from a canvas tarp using my Cricut maker. Check it out! Canvas tarp farmhouse pillow.

What to do with a Canvas Tarp

A while back I bought this 4 x 5’ canvas tarp at Walmart. I knew it was perfect for making farmhouse pillows.
I picked up those 16” pillow form at a thrift store for $1. Not sure what the tarp was, but I’m sure less than $10.
To allow for the seam, but cut a 17” square for the front. I got to use my new iron for this and it did a terrifically c job with the wrinkles! The puff plates f steam almost raises it off the surface.

Next cut a piece 17 x approximately 21” then cut that piece in half. Press each piece well and turn down 1/4”, press, turn down again and press well. Stitch the hem.
Using the EasyPress2 apply your choice of design. This one is from Sillouette.
Place the top face up and then place one of the halves face down on the top.

Ready to Sew

Place the second one overlapping the top one and pin. Stitch all around the pillow twice then zigzag around to help keep the seam from fraying.
Turn the pillow right side out taking care to poke the corners. Stuff the pillow into the case and fluff it up. So now you have a great farmhouse pillow!
I have a lot left for more projects from the canvas tarp. What would you make? I would love to see you projects and thoughts in the comments below
