I took the plunge and bought a new Cricut Maker because I’d been drooling over them for years. I’m a total newbie! Taking a little time getting to know my new Cricut maker because it is like a foreign object to me! Intimidating! I’m pinning Cricut ideas and watching YouTube’s about the Cricut Maker and projects like a fiend! I feel another craft obsession coming on, oh my! Seems like a good idea to watch a few videos to familiarize yourself with the Cricut machine before using it. There is tons of information out there, it’s overwhelming! First thing to do is download the Design Space app for the patterns. It’s certainly time to take it out of the box and stop being afraid of it! On to learn more!

Finally the new has worn off a little and yesterday, I finally got around to cutting fabric. I choose bowl koosie’s from Cricut design space, took the cover off of my 24” mat (Christmas present from my daughter) and took the plunge! Check out my first project cutting fabric with my Cricut.

Six weeks of owning the new Cricut Maker and am crazy about it! The sky is the limit now that I’m no longer afraid of the machine. Do a couple of projects and that fear goes away! It’s here! For my birthday I received an EasyPress2 bundle from my husband and my girls both gave me lots of vinyl. WeeHooo! I’m gonna do some HTV projects! So no doubt, I’ve been to the Dollar Tree and have socks, tea towels and oven mitts to practice on. Well of course there was a trip to Michaels also for T-shirts!

After years of looking at and wishing for a Cricut Maker, I finally got one! I jumped in head first and started making everything that I could! The card that came with the machine was first and I was hooked! It was Christmas time so then came signs and ornaments. I taught myself how to etch glass. This amazing machine cuts fabric like a breeze! For my birthday, my wonderful husband got me an Easy Press2 and I was off on the HTV path of crafting. Reverse canvas and t-shirts turned out perfect! I always kinda treat myself at Christmas and this year was no excepting! Adding to my Cricut collection, I got an MiniPress. To be honest, i was a little skeptical about it when I opened it.
