5 Delightful Dollar Tree Fall Crafts
Yup, I’ll admit it, I love that Dollar Tree store! While I was straightening my supplies and digging out the fall stuff it dawned on me that I had enough things from the Dollar Tree to do this 5 Delightful Dollar Tree Fall Crafts post for you. So let’s get starred!
This post probably contains affiliated links. My full disclosure policy is boring, but you can find it HERE.

Pumpkin Cup
First up is this glass cup. It would be a great cup to use for drinking, but I can give it a much better purpose. One where it will slide right on into my fall decorations and be right at home!
This cup is going to become a jack-o-lantern with a little help from my Cricut Maker and some orange paint. I searched in Design Space for a face, figured my size and cut it. Carefully apply to the cup taking care to get it right as the cup is a curved surface. Luckily it peels up so you can smooth it out if you mess up. Be sure to run your fingers over the entire design ensuring it’s totally sealed.
Next step is to paint it. I considered spray painting, but opted in the end to use the orange acrylic paint I had on hand too.
I let it dry completely and then remove the pumpkin face pieces. Some paint peeled around an eye, but I can live with it. Probably should have removed them while the paint was still a little wet.
Fall Bucket
The bucket took a coat of acrylic white dry brushed on pretty well. I just wanted to soften the harsh black of the plastic bucket. It turned out pretty good.
I used a design from my post last year Quick and Easy Dollar Tree Fall Project with Cricut. Applied the design carefully to the bucket and dressed it up with some Spanish moss, pumpkin and leaves.
Tin Container
I think this is a great find from the Dollar Tree! It’s cute as is, but I’ve just got to embellish it just a little!
I simply hot glued some nautical rope I had on hand twice around the top. I left a small space from the top and began gluing the rope at the edge of one side.
Continue gluing two times around, snip the end even with the edge of the container and glue securely down. Once I had the top done I put 2 rounds on the bottom also. So this charmer can be decorated for all seasons and holidays.
Cup with Fall Saying
Dollar Tree has several colors of cups and I thought this grey would be cute for a tiered tray display.
Although I have put HTV vinyl on cups that I wanted to use as cups, Getting to Know My Cricut MiniPress , I decided on premium vinyl for this project since it was going to be for display only.
Simply cup and weed the design and apply carefully to the cup after you wipe it well with some rubbing alcohol. This removes all dirt and oils and helps the design to adhere better.
Glass Trivet
So for a mere $1 you can buy this nice, little trivet at Dollar Tree. It’s useful as is, but you know the crafter in you say fix it up! Therefore, let me show you how I did this one and what I used.
First thing is to pop the 4 rubber nubs off the bottom and save them because you will need to replace them when your trivet is finished.
Next I chose a design in Design Space and cut it out with my Cricut Maker. Once weeded, center and apply it to the bottom of the trivet. Please remember to mirror this image. I learned the hard way….again!
My friend gave me this fall place mat that I think is perfect for this project! Cut your fabric slightly bigger than the trivet. Apply a generous amount to the trivet side with the design. Place the fabric over the trivet and coat again with mod podge. Once it is dry, trim the excess fabric and hot glue the feet back.
At last, I’ll tell you this was my project from…well anyway, it finally is finished. Flaws give projects character!
So there you have it! My 5 Delightful Dollar Tree Fall Crafts. What do you think? Will you be making anything inspired from here? I would love to see you creations using Dollar Tree supplies. Please share any photos or your thoughts on my projects in the comments below.
