Easter on Eggs Decoration
You will need a similar sign like the on in the photo to use for the base. (Sorry that it’s already painted in the photo.) The other things you need are eggs and moss from the Dollar Tree plus hot glue. You will also need either sticker letters or cut your own it you have a Cricut machine. Get my design at my resource library here.
I have many paints left over from past projects that I used. They probably came from Walmart or Michaels but I believe Dollar Tree sells paints too.
Begin with a base coat of black acrylic on the sign. I mixed ink and white together to dry brush into the base.
Once the base was dry, I hot glued the moss down on the top.
Prepare the letters by applying transfer tape and cutting them each out single and apply one to each egg. Hot glue them in order on the moss. As a final touch, take some jute twine and wrap it around the frame platform and tie a small bow in front.
Certainly it doesn’t get much easier than that to make a cute Easter decoration! This cost $2 to make since I had the paint and scrap vinyl I don’t count that in my calculations.
Egg Topiary
This is so simple yet they turn out so cute! For this project though will need:
3 mini terra cotta pots
Small dowels
Plastic Eggs
Twine
Floral foam
Spanish Moss
Paint the pots white. It took 3 coats to cover well.
Cut pieces of the floral foam to fit into the pots.
Place some moss on top to cover the foam.
The eggs have small holes already in the bottom so simply stick the dowel in the hole. You could hot glue them in place if you like. Push the dowel I to the float all foam. Then tie a small bow around each pot.
Farmhouse Print Bunny
Alright, for my last project, I did get the bunny at Hobby Lobby for 40% off, but the book is from Dollar Tree. It’s super cool because the pages are printed on yellowish paper so it’s going to give this bunny a great farmhouse look. Just need some mod Podge and a sponge brush!
Begin by tearing a few pages out of the book then tear those into small strips about 1” wide.
Take the Mod Podge and spread some on the bunny. Start placing the strips on the bunny and apply another layer of Mod Podge to the top of the sheets on the bunny. Overlap the strips as you go. You might need to tear some of the strips to fill in on your figurine. Be generous with the Mod Podge so the paper will adhere well to the bunny.
Continue until the bunny is completely covered to your liking. Smooth out all wrinkles as you go. It’s messy!
