Farmhouse Pinecone Swag DIY

Farmhouse and nature go hand in hand for me. Sticks and twig and stones and pinecones all fit into my decor. I love using natural things because I find them beautiful and best of all, they’re free! So go gather up some cones and follow this farmhouse Pinecone swag Diy and maybe you’ll fall in love with using nature things too!

Free Pinecones!

Last fall I used pinecones to create a farmhouse garland here in 5 Fabulous Free Fall Farmhouse Crafts. It transitioned from fall to Christmas pretty good, but lacked something.
As I was looking through Pinterest a similar swag caught my eye and I knew I could create two that would be perfect at the ends of the garland.
With roll of ribbon, hot glue, 6 nice pinecone and a pair of scissors I was ready to make the swag.

Such a Simple Project

I cut 2 lengths of ribbon 16, 18 and 20” long. They will uncurl when the pinecones are attached.
Tie 6 simple bows as close to the same size as possible to attach to each pinecone.
Now it’s time to start hot gluing each ribbon onto a cone. To make it look nicer, after attaching the ribbon I bent it back and tacke it with a dab of glue.
Attach the bows to the top of each cone.
Gather the ribbons with the cones hanging the way you want and tie a knot to h
old them together. Simple as that!
They turned out great and are perfect for my garland! It looks so good I’m going to leave it up year round!

Perfect Farmhouse Decoration

So you could use just one anywhere in your farmhouse decor. I think they’re perfect! What about you! Are you going to try making one? I would love to see photos of your or thoughts about mine in the comments below.
