3 Amazing Farmhouse Trash to Treasure

I have been on quite a roll these past few weeks working on newly bought and things from my stash thrift store items. I have repurposed several things I plan to use as gifts and I have kept some of these beauties! Now I would like to share these  3 Amazing Farmhouse Trash to Treasure.

Love the Hunt!

All of these projects are recent purchases. I just can’t help myself! Since the thrift store was closed for the shutdown, they now had sooo many great things! I got sooo many of them! Lol!
This cute, little stand caught my eye and I figured at the very least it could use a coat of paint.
So the next thing I do is dry brush some mineral chalk paint only to the legs and base.
I wasn’t happy with the top so I gave it a coat of black acrylic paint.
Next I cut my design with my Cricut Maker and applied it to the top.

Jazz Up a Sconce

The second find was a wall sconce pedestal. At least that’s what I’m calling it!  It’s in good shape as is, but that’s not what I got it for! I began by giving it a coat of flat cream spray paint. Almost the same color, but it made a big difference!
This piece has a lot going on with all the petal looking things sticking out. I first took a sponge and outlined all of them. Then a general smudge all over with the ink chalk paint and it turned out great!

Farmhouse Candle Stick

Lastly this candle stand. I think it’s going to be great to decorate for the holidays and seasons. First, I gave it a nice coat of flat black spray paint.
Of course I’m going to dry brush it with mineral chalk paint. I really enjoy painting things. It is relaxing to me and they usually turn out really good for me. I’m improving my skills and these fan brushes are great for my dry brushing. I can use the slightest of paint on them and achieve the look I’m going for better with them.
So as I said, I have done lots of trash to treasures recently. If you enjoyed these projects, here are the links to past posts if you missed them.

Love Farmhouse Trash to Treasures

I am so happy with the way all this of these projects turned out! I’m still looking for the perfect spot for the wall sconce, but the stand and candle stand will be no problem becoming a staple in my farmhouse decor. I can’t wait to decorate the for all the different seasons and holidays. So many possibilities! I’ll no doubt share that with you next year!
Did you like my projects, are you inspired? What items have you repurposed and use year round in your decor? I would love to see photos or your thoughts in the comments below.
