7 Christmas Gifts to Make With Cricut

Every year I make my family’s Christmas presents. They never know what I’ve made , but this year I’m sure they know it’s going to be something made with the Cricut Maker since this is the first year for mine. I actually got it Black Friday last year, but no way did I know what all I could do with it. I’ve tried just about every kind of project there is in the past year and cut all different types of materials. Feeling confident in my abilities, I made  7 Christmas gifts with the Cricut Maker.

This post probably contains affiliated links. My full disclosure policy is boring, but you can find it HERE.

Yearly Ornaments

Also each year I make an ornament for everyone in hopes the keep them long after I’m gone and will remember how much I just love Christmas! This year is a 4 x 4” square with a permanent vinyl snowflake. There were several different designs. A couple of Let it Snow and a Merry Christmas ball got in there also. Harry not only cut and sanded the edges for me, drilled the holes for the hangers also. He’s so good about helping me with all my projects and I am grateful for him! A simple piece of twine knotted in the front makes a perfect hanger. They look primitive and I love them!

Fabric Gifts to Make Cricut Maker

Bowl koosies are the best! Insulating your fingers from that hot or cold bowl is a luxury! At least I think so. That why everyone gets them this year. They are a breeze to cut with the fabric mat. I use contact paper to save the mat. Check out my post The Truth About Cutting Fabric with a Cricut Maker.
The instructions in Design Space are easy to follow. Just add some dollar store bowls and it’s a super nice gift paired with a soup in a jar mix.

Soup Mix with Cricut Recipe Card

For the soup in a jar I did a multi bean soup recipe. 8 different beans layered 1/4 cup at a time making the layers was so pretty in the jars! I just attached a recipe tag to the jar with some ribbon I had on hand.

Oven Mitt and Goodies

If you haven’t found out about all the great blanks you can get at dollar stores, you are missing out. These mitts where under $4 to make! Using my EasyPress2, I applied a cute saying then filled the pocket with a spoon and a brownie mix.

Signs

Obviously they all need a sign and I’m the one to give it to them! Me and my Cricut Maker that is.
I made small, wooden signs for everyone. Harry cut my blanks and I painted and distressed them. Some are actually sanded around the edges, some are whitewashed over black and some are dry brushed. It’s fun to mix it up and not do everything the same like an assembly line. Check out this post Sign Making -What’s the Right Way?

Cricut felt Flowers on Tissue Jars

Winter is sniffles season so because I wanted to make some felt flowers, I put them on painted mason jars and made everyone a tissue dispenser. Learn how to Master the Art of Painting and Distressing Mason Jars here.
They can fill it back with tissues or when it’s empty, use the jar for whatever they like. See how I made these here Mason Jar Tissue Holder with Cricut Felt Flowers .

Gifts to Make Cricut Maker Casserole Hot Pad

So this is one I wanted for myself and keeping with the food theme, I thought this was a good thing to include in the gift basket. Simple and useful. You can learn how to make your own here Large Hot Pad with Cricut Maker Tutorial

Gifts to Make Cricut Maker Magnets

Lastly, I put these cute, little guys together. The faces of my grand sons are a little hard to see due to the curves glass of the flat marble, but their mother loved them anyway! Check out how I made them here Marvelous Magnets with Cricut

Bonus Gift if You’re Counting!

The biggest hit by far though were my acrylic etched night lights for the grand kids! The loved them and they were surprisingly easy to make. Check out how I did them here post Cutting and Engraving Acrylic with Cricut
The Christmas presents made with the Cricut Maker were so much fun to make! So many more presents that can be made! This is just the beginning! I hope you are able to create priceless gifts for your loved ones. Please share your creations and thoughts in the comments below

You did an amazing job with your site and I am sure it will only get bigger and better this year.
I think the crafts you made as gifts went over big with everyone that was lucky to get handmade items. The love and thoughtfulness that you put into them shows.
