My Christmas Gnome DIY

Gnomes seem to be the rage these days. I’ve seen all kind, with legs, with partners, with signs, so I tried my hand at one and I’m super happy with him! He might remind you of Cousin It telling your age! I love him though and am happy to share my Christmas gnome DIY. He’s a welcome addition to my snowman collection.

Time to Gather Supplies

This sweet guy goes together in a matter of minutes with a small amount of supplies. Gather a Styrofoam cone, straight pins, black buttons, hot glue, Dollar General hat ornie and a sheet of fur.

Begin by wrapping the fur around the cone and pin it in place with the straight pins.

Feel around, down into the top to find the top of the cone. snip the fur close.

Attach the Hat

I found this hat at Dollar General and it’s perfect for you Christmas gnome diy! Glob a bunch of hot glue around the top of the glue and place the hat and secure it.

So I used a red pompom from Dollar Tree to make him look like he was cold. (Or loaded lol) First time i hot glued it only to the fur. I went back and put a small dot of hot glue on the hat brim and pushed the nose into it. Lastly, finish him off by gluing the buttons down his front.

My Christmas Gnome DIY is Ready!

He is so stinking cute! And he was super easy to make too.
