Revisit the Craft Room-One Year Later

One year later and there have been some big changes in my loft crafting area. Living in an A framed house has its challenges for the upstairs loft area where my craft room happens to be! The lack of wall storage space and lighting have been my biggest challenge. Much thanks to my husband for my new storage pieces and thanks to Amazon for the lighting additions! So come along and let’s Revisit my Craft Room-One Year Later.

Never Enough Storage Space

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve straighten and reorganized my space! Never enough room for everything and I keep buying because let’s face it, I need it! Craft supply storage has taken over the spare bedroom too!

Notice the new table with shelf storage? I designed this and Harry made it. It is perfect with the drop down table. Most of my supplies are finally stored and I can find them now I do have to get on the floor , but it’s worth it since it adds so much more room for supplies.
I just clear the top and let it down for when we have company.
Alright, The Ugly Truth About Cricut Addiction- A Cautionary Tale comes with a lots of supplies if you succumb to it! So many rolls of vinyl! And cardstock! And infusible ink (I haven’t even used yet!) oh my gosh it piled up!
Once again I designed my version of a storage tower on a swivel. After much debate about said swivel, I convinced Harry of what I was talking about and it would work. He made this outstanding storage tower! The shelves slid out of you need and I took elastic and staples it to hold the rolls if vinyl on 2 sides. Still thinking about the back, I need a place for all my ribbons….

Bigger Ironing Board

Now on to my ironing board. Harry attached a piece of plywood to the frame and I covered it. See how to here It might spend a lot of time with projects piled on it, but when it comes time to iron something big like a quilt top, it is wonderful!

No More Lack of Lighting!

This space has one electrical outlet and the ceiling fan light. Let me tell you, crafting in the dark sucks!  I commandeered this clamp lamp from Harry since he didn’t really use it much. It shines so much light down on my desk I just love it!
Always striving to make my photos better, I invested in these 2 standing light and I got the ring light to start making videos. Great purchase for me as I also use them for extra light when working on my projects. I use the ring light when I’m sewing. It’s wonderful to have the proper lighting to work with!
So those are the Additions to my craft area. I continue the struggle to keep things put away. Don’t they say that creative minds make messes, or something like that?! Well I’d they do t, they should and I’d have a great excuse for it! i hope you enjoyed the tour. What do you use for your storage needs? I’d love to see and hear about them in the comments below
