FAIRIES!

The fairies always pack up in the winter and go south (under the bed in a plastic tote) then return in the Spring. It’s time to start cleaning up the grounds for them! Each year they come up with new fairy garden ideas! We’ll see what’s new this year when we Tour the Fairy Gardens.
Building a fairy garden is no easy feat! Finding the right spot or the right stump can be challenging. We have two great spots out in the yard and two on the porch.
Super exciting times around here expecting their return any day now!

In the Beginning

We’ll start where the fairies began building first in a planter I had on the porch.
Because they are such docile, little creatures, I let them stay. Soon, my little, red wagon was fair game and more fairies moved in. Next thing I know, they’re settling into a stump out in the garden too! Nervy little fellows! Although it is a cute and homey little settlement .

Outside Fairy Garden

Their homestead started out my a small creek and pond. Lucky, little fellows thought they had found paradise! So it seems like they’d be happy. They lined the creek with stone and put a foot bridge across it to be able to leave and explore beyond their compound.

Another Fairy Garden Expansion

These fairies had it pretty good cause after a year of squatting on the property, they called the family and invited the WHOLE tribe!
Next to the addition was the perfect spot for the community. It’s the biggest fairy garden here. The site was scoped out and excavated. The main house is in the big stump in contrast to the smaller dwellings in the space. Moss was brought in to make lush yards and a park area. In case your crafty, check out How to Turn a Plain Birdhouse into a Stone Birdhouse. They can be a cute addition to a fairy garden.

Final Touches then Tour the Fairy Gardens

They enjoy their park with a pond where they can stroll the lamp lite path that runs from one end of the space to the other. It’s got it all! Benches, tables, landscaping and more! Certainly, any fairy would feel right at home!
Among the cute fairy garden ideas are the fairy lamps which also look good as a plant pokes. Fences separate the yards that just look fun to hang out in. So many places to explore!

In conclusion, let the fairies in! They’re fun to take care of and give much enjoyment in return. Certainly you can find a small spot for them to live if you look hard enough! As a result, you will fall in love with the tiny creatures!

Too adorable! Your story telling abilities are fantastic. I bet you could do tours of your fairy residences and children (adults, too) would just love it. Thank you for sharing.
